Starting My Teenage Son on Anti-Acne Skincare ...
September 1, 2022
... and having so much fun! I have seen my fair share of teen acne at my practice. The difficulty with teenagers is that they are sometimes (or most of the time), not very compliant when it comes to sticking with a regimen. They may not understand the destructive long-term effect that acne can cause to their skin. Usually, my time with these teens turn into sit-down sessions where I had to explain to them what happens with men I see whose skins were impacted and textured from teenage acne. Another problem with these teenagers is that some of them are in a rush to clear the acne and the scars ... in a rush for prom, in a rush so that they don't feel so embarrassed ... I've seen it all....
Skin Under Stress
June 28, 2022
Are you stressed? In a society where unsustainable stress is not only the norm, but sometimes a celebrated sign of success, what better way for the subconscious to cry out than “stress skin”? Patchy spots. An eczema outbreak. A psoriasis flare-up. A bout of rosacea. A dehydrated, dull, oily or even — gasp — older-looking appearance. General blah-ness, if you will. It is the chronic, continuing stress, the kind that every sentient being is likely experiencing right now, that takes a toll on the skin ......

Washington D.C is our nation’s capital, the hub of our country, and our political center. Why Both Physical & Chemical Exfoliation are Important
May 15, 2022
We have all heard that we need to exfoliate, but is it part of your routine? Exfoliation isn't an option. Excess sweat and sebum can trap dead skin cells and suffocate skin, creating dullness and breakouts. Now that the weather is warmer, the more time spent outside, the skin is even more susceptible to extra dirt and grime. Exfoliation is an incredibly important part of a skincare regimen regardless of your skin concerns.
